Reliance Entertainment To Release Panipat Worldwide On December 6th 2019

One of the most awaited period dramas of 2019, Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Panipat is all set to hit the theatres worldwide on December 6. The film stars super amazing talents like Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and an eclectic cast that includes Padmini Kolhapure, Mohnish Bahl and Zeenat Aman in a Special Appearance which makes it all worthwhile.

We all know how Ashutosh’s films are all about intriguing storylines and majestic sets, which gives the best cinematic experiences. With Panipat too, the maverick director is all set to take his magnum opus Panipat to an all-new cinematic high. He has made sure that everything from the grand sets, casting the best actors to hire the best technical team, everything’s just on-point.

Speaking about the film, producer Sunita Gowarikar says, “Our film Panipat will bring alive the great glory of Marathas and will showcase not just the epic battle in which more than a lakh soldiers were martyred but also the reasons behind the war. It is an epic tale of great historical significance.”

Panipat is based on the Third Battle of Panipat, which is one of the most epic battles in the history of India that took place on 14 January 1761 at Panipat. The battle was fought between the northern expeditionary force of the Maratha Empire and invading forces of the King of Afghanistan, Ahmad Shah Abdali, supported by two Indian allies—the Rohilla Afghans of the Doab, and Shuja-ud-Daula, the Nawab of Awadh.

Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, Panipat is produced by Sunita Gowariker under their home banner AGPPL in association with Rohit Shelatkar’s company – Vision World. The film is scheduled to release on December 6, 2019.

Sahil Salathia Joins The Star Cast Of Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat As Shamsher Bahadur

Director Ashutosh Gowariker’s magnum opus – Panipat has been constantly making headlines ever since its announcement. The film, which is mounted on a grand scale, has already secured a host of Bollywood actors for its large ensemble cast and now there is another addition to its stellar team – Indian supermodel-turned-actor – Sahil Salathia.

Sahil, who made his acting debut as the main lead in Ashutosh Gowariker’s telenovela Everest, has been roped in to play Shamsher Bahadur in the historical drama Panipat. Shamsher Bahadur was the son of Bajirao I and Mastani and a formidable warrior, who played an important part in the Third Battle of Panipat.

Speaking about the latest addition to Panipat, producer Sunita Gowariker said, “Sahil had left an impression on us ever since he did Everest with AGPPL. We had been wanting to work with him again and this role was a perfect fit for him. Sahil is a talented actor and we are certain that he will do complete justice to Shamsher Bahadur’s character.”

Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon revive the 90’s with ‘Poster Lagwa Do’

A family that dances together, stays together! Welcome to Guddu and Rashmi’s life – a couple who doesn’t want to dance or stay with the family!

Kriti Sanon and Kartik Aaryan’s first song from their much anticipated film Luka Chuppi is already making us groove on our seats! In true 90’s style. The song features a barrage of dancers, 150 to be exact along with some super fun steps too. The couple is seen doing “ luka chuppi” with the family, played by Pankaj Tripathi, Vinay Pathak, Aparshakti Khurrana amongst others.

The foot tapping redux has been recreated by White Noise studios and has been choreographed by Vijay Ganguly.

Dinesh Vijan says, “Poster Lagwa Do was the first song we selected for the album. Actually, much before we even knew how we could use it, we acquired it, it just so happened that it fit so aptly into our plot! The video has turned out to be super fun too. It’s unlikely to use the full cast in a promotional song, as it isnt easy getting everyone back together! But it all worked out and it’s looking great!”

Kriti Sanon excited for 2019 with four releases in a year

Kriti Sanon has lots on her plate, with the current line-up of films, Kriti Sanon is one of the busiest actresses in town.

After her last hit Bareilly Ki Barfi, the actress has four big-budget projects in her kitty, which are a mix of commercial entertainers and content-driven cinema.

While she finished filming Luka Chuppi two months ago and has been working on Housefull 4, there are also Panipat and Arjun Patiala to look forward to.

Talking about her releases, Kriti Sanon shares, “It’s the first time that I’ll have four releases in a year, in 2019. Also, the movies are really different from each other and that’s exciting for me”.

Panipat, in which she stars alongside Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Kapoor, will be her first proper period film as she plays a Maratha princess. But the actress shares that she has been having a lot of fun dressing up for Housefull 4 as well.

She adds, “I do have a bit of period portion in this film too, as it’s a reincarnation drama. I think it’s the first reincarnation comedy in Hindi films. We have been dressing up as these characters belong to the Raja-Maharaja period.”

After roping in actors like Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Mohnish Bahl, the maverick director Ashutosh Gowariker has now added another fantastic actress to his stellar casting. Ashutosh has signed versatile actress Padmini Kolhapure as Gopika Bai in Panipat.

Gopika Bai was the daughter of Bhikaji Naik Raste of Wai and was married to Nana Saheb Peshwa. Gopika Bai’s childhood was consumed by the observance of religious fasting and rituals. On becoming Nana Saheb’s wife, her extreme self-interest to secure her family position played was both her strength and weakness. She wanted to ensure that her son Vishwas Rao becomes the next Peshwa.

Speaking about the new addition to the cast of Panipat, producer Sunita Gowariker said, “I feel excited that Padmini has joined this cast. She is not only a dear friend but also a very good actress. She is just perfect for the role.

Sajid Nadiadwala all set to launch Ahan Shetty years after launching father Suneil Shetty

Filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala has taken Suniel Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty under his wings to launch him with the remake of Telugu hit RX 100.

The producer who has earlier provided a launch platform to actors like Tiger Shroff, Kriti Sanon amongst others in the recent time, Sajid Nadiadwala has been the Godfather to many Bollywood celebrities.

Ahan Shetty will make his debut with the remake of this year’s Telugu Sleeper Hit RX 100. Talking about the same Sajid Nadiadwala shared, “I have acquired the remake rights of RX 100 and it will be Ahan’s launch vehicle. The movie will release in May 2019. We chose the drama because it has gained a cult status among the youth. I know of youngsters who have watched the movie 10 times.”

Interestingly, Sajid Nadiadwala was to launch Suniel Shetty with his production Waqt Hamara Hai and now years after the film, the producer will be launching his son Ahan Shetty into Bollywood.

Opening up about the coincidence, Sajid Nadiadwala said, “It’s an interesting coincidence that I got to launch Suniel and now, his son too.”

Sajid Nadiadwala further divulged details of the film saying, “We are in talks with some directors, but have not decided on one yet.”

On the work front, Sajid Nadiadwala is currently gearing up for his upcoming ‘Housefull 4’, Nitesh Tiwari directorial next and Baaghi 3.

Atul Srivastava and Divyendu Sharma seen onscreen again

Atul Srivastava is seemed to having a very exciting September with two movies releases back to back in the same month. He was last seen in ‘Stree’ playing Raj Kumar Rao’s ‘Deddy’ and now will be seen playing Divyendu Sharma’s father in ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’.

‘Stree’ has recently joined the 100crore club and there is high possibility that Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor starrer ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ will also join the club.

Atul and Divyendu were last seen sharing screen space in Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar starrer movie ‘Toilet Ek Prem Katha’.

When asked about his experience of working with Divyendu, Atul Srivastava said, “It was a good experience working with Divyendu once again. He is a good actor and we used to discuss scenes.”

Though we would be seeing him playing a father on screen for the second time both the characters are completely different from each other. In ‘Stree’ he was playing a very open minded and fun loving ‘deddy’ who made the audience laugh on his jokes and the way of explaining sex to his son’. But in Batti Gul Meter Chalu he will be seen playing a father whose son commits suicide and he is hoping that his son is given the justice he deserves.

‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and produced by Bhusan Kumar and has actors like Shahid Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Yami Gautam and Divyendu Sharma.

Atul Shrivastav is now Bollywood’s favorite Daddy

Atul Shrivastav who played Rajkumar Rao’s father in STREE, even after the completion and the release of the hit film Rajkumar Rao still calls him DEDDY (daddy), whenever they meet.

His most recent project ’Stree’ with actors like Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi and Aparshakti Khurana has been receiving critical acclamation from all around the country. Atul Shrivastav is seen playing the character of Rajkumar Rao’s father which is a comical role. When asked about his character he said, “My character in the film is that of a very broad minded and friendly father who talks with his son about everything but is still protective about him and make sure that he is on the right path.”

Atul Shrivastav has also played Salman Khan’s father in ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’. Now the versatile actor will be seen playing Divyendu Sharma’s father in ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ which stars Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead. He will be also seen as Kartik Aryan’s father in Luka Chuppi. Directed by cinematographer turned director Laxman Utekar, the film also stars Kriti Sanon.
