The producers of the forthcoming Emraan Hashmi-starrer ‘Cheat India’ shot a promotional music video, featuring Hashmi and the current sensation Guru Randhawa. This was a coup of sorts as their first-time pairing is bound to enjoy phenomenal mass outreach when the song comes out.

Titled ‘Kudi Daaru Wargia’, the track, composed and rendered by Guru, was picturized on an elaborate set in Mumbai. This marks the first time that an A-list Bollywood star has featured in a video with Guru, who has continuously belted out chartbusters like ‘Ban Ja Rani’, ‘Lahore’, ‘High Rated Gabru’, ‘Suit Suit’ and ‘Kaun Nachdi’ in recent times.

The video has been directed by Nitin Parmar of Equinox Films, the renowned production company helmed by ace ad-man and ‘Neerja’ director Ram Madhvani. It has been choreographed by Vijay Ganguly (‘Jagga Jasoos’, ‘Tumhari Sulu’, ‘Stree’, ‘Badhaai Ho’, etc.) and also features the debuting heroine Shreya Dhanwanthary along with a multitude of students, given the film’s story about the education system.

Said the producers, “We knew that pairing Emraan and Guru would be huge. It was Bhushan’s (Kumar) idea to go with this song as it has chartbuster potential. Director Gifty shoots nonstop for Guru Randhawa’s next single in Toronto

We all know how it is purely magic when Director Gifty works with Guru Randhawa as they shoot melodious and peppy singles. Well, all fans of Guru should rejoice as Director Gifty is currently shooting in Toronto for Guru’s latest single Downtown featuring Guru and actress Delbar Arya in it. While Director Gifty is someone who has shot extremely stylish videos with Guru earlier, for this too, he is not leaving any stone unturned.

Director Gifty travelled to Toronto and shot nonstop for the song without taking the jet lag into account. It is a wonder how both do not think of sleep and just focus on coming out with a single that will enthrall viewers. Guru also had to shoot for it and finish the work fast as he had to come back for the shoot of his ongoing music reality show in India. Ask Director Gifty about it and he says, “Our songs and the videos have crossed the 100 million mark many times. And, therefore, to keep this happening again, I feel it is important to not think of the timelines of different countries and continuously focus on good work. I am sure that Downtown will be a big hit as Guru has performed well and we are both dedicated to the job.”

Recently, ‘Ishare Tere’, Guru’s single was shot by Director Gifty again and the song has already caught up with the young crowds. They decided to shoot the video and Guru who was travelling on an India tour came back to shoot for it because Director Gifty wanted that he only feature in it. Guru shot for the video continuously for 20 hours and then decided to leave. Since the song did so well on the charts, Guru was persistent at giving this his best, and making it a video that people will always remember.

Director Gifty creates magic with Guru Randhawa’s latest song

When your minds match, you make magic. And that’s what happens when Director Gifty works with popular singer Guru Randhawa.

Director Gifty and Guru Randhawa have earlier too worked on many singles and they have connected hugely with masses. While everyone knows Guru and his music, the mastermind behind the videos (most of them) is Director Gifty, who shots these videos so well, that they become intent hits.

The song has crossed the 100 million mark and both Director Gifty and Guru are rejoicing over it. Director Gifty says, “When I get to know that people love the songs and the videos, it feels nice as the whole effort gets paid by audience’s appreciation. This song is my favourite and I am not being diplomatic here. Also, Guru is very hard-working. Even after travelling, he was ready to shoot so long for the song and had a positive attitude about improvisations on it. That’s what I like about Guru. I have directed Guru Randhawa in ‘Made in India’ and ‘High Rated Gabru’, ‘Lahore’ and we work well together. He has a great understanding of what I perceive about each video.”

Nawabzaade trailer packs a punch

After the stupendous response to the recreated version of Guru Randhawa’s High Rated Gabru, picturised on Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in Nawabzaade, expectations have naturally risen for the unveiling of the trailer of Nawabzaade.

From the trailer, it is evident that Nawabzaade is a vibrant, romantic comedy about three male friends who try to woo the same girl, often giving rise to hilarious situations.

The film directed by Jayesh Pradhan is produced by Lizelle D’souza and Mayur K Barot. It stars actors from ABCD 2 — Dharmesh Yelande, Raghav Juyal and Punit J Pathak. Debutante Isha Rikhi plays the female lead in the film. Senior actors Vijay Raaz and Mukesh Tiwari support the main cast in adding a mean twist to the plot. Actor Zakir Hussain would also be seen in an important role in the film.

The trailer also gives you a sufficient glimpse of the excellent chemistry shared by the film’s lead cast, the main reason why debutant director Pradhan felt he could pull off this romantic comedy.

What also cannot be missed in the trailer is the rumbustious musical score as already witnessed through the High Rated Gabru song. A somewhat passing peek of Mummy Kasam also promises that this song too has got chartbuster written all over it.

Director Jayesh Pradhan says, “I am excited but also a bit nervous as this is my first film. I was about to start my directorial journey with a short film. It was Remo sir who gave me the confidence and encouraged me to take the leap with a full length feature film. I have been assisting Remo D’Souza for a long time. I have known the three boys from the time they were working on Dance India Dance. I felt that doing a romantic comedy with them would be the right thing because I was confident that they would be able to take it to another level.”

Producer Lizelle adds, “Nawabzaade, my first film as a producer has shaped up really well. The chemistry between the film’s lead players is electrifying and you will see that in the trailer also. It’s a fun film which youngsters will love.”

T-Series’ High Rated Gabru, picturised on Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor is out

After Suit Suit (Hindi Medium), Banja tu raani (Tumhari Sulu) and Patola (Blackmail), viewers will get to see T-Series artist Guru Randhawa’s song in the forthcoming film Nawabzaade, directed by Jayesh Pradhan. The film’s cast includes the actors from ABCD 2, Dharmesh Yelande, Raghav Juyal and Punit Pathak.

Grooving to the popular Punjabi track will be young heartthrob Varun Dhawan and the beautiful Shraddha Kapoor, who we had last seen together in ABCD 2. The song which has been shot in a Mumbai studio has been choreographed by Remo D’Souza.
The original song by Guru has already crossed more than 400 million views on YouTube and is expected to soar further with its presence in a Bollywood film.

Speaking about being part of this special song, Varun informs, “Having worked with Raghav, Punit and Dharmesh, I know them to be very talented boys. When I heard Remo sir was doing a film with them I knew I had to be part of it in some way. So when this song came up, Shraddha and I decided to feature in this special video.” He adds, “It was a lot of fun, sharing screen space with Shraddha again. We are very comfortable with each other and High Rated Gabru is already a chartbuster.”

Shraddha says she too did not want to miss the opportunity of re-uniting with the ABCD 2 team. “I was all charged to work again with Remo sir, Varun and a few others from the ABCD 2 gang. When I got to know that we are going to be shooting a video for High Rated Gabru, I got even more excited because the song is fantastic and so loved. The whole experience of shooting it was fun. I felt nostalgic,” Shraddha chirps unable to hold back her excitement.

Bhushan Kumar of T-Series adds, “I am sure this song is now going to go on a different level. Varun and Shraddha had developed a fantastic camaraderie with the actors of ABCD 2. So it was not surprising that they agreed to be part of this video.”
Remo D’souza who has choreographed the special video maintains, “It was heartening to see that, Varun and Shraddha were so accommodating to give what it takes to make this number extraordinary. I am glad we could do this for my protégés from ABCD2. It will help to create a buzz around Nawabzaade.”

On his song being included in a Bollywood film Guru adds, “This is my third song being picked for a Bollywood film after songs in ‘Hindi Medium’ and ‘Tumhari Sulu’. It’s an exciting period for me as I am getting to work with a lot of new people. Varun Paji has been very fond of my original song and he suggested the same to the makers. I was all charged when I heard that we are recreating the song with Varun Paji, I’ve always been waiting for that. We have tried to maintain the vibe of the song with a few improvisations. I’m thankful to Bhushanji, Varun, Shraddha for such an amazing experience. I hope this version of High Rated Gabru with Shraddha and Varun’s power-packed dance moves receives as much love from the audience as the original track did.”

The song has released on YouTube today.
